About Dr. Freecloud’s
Dr. Freecloud’s is Orange Counties First Electronic Dance Music Store catering to DJ’s & music lovers alike. The store first opened its doors in 12-10-1994 in Costa Mesa, California. Co-Owned & operated by Ron D Core a well-respected DJ, Producer & Promoter along with his wife Helen Liang who built & created the Dr. Freecloud empire.
The Dr. Freecloud’s name and it’s many popular logo’s have been around and in use since the late 1980’s, well before Dr. Freecloud’s Mixing Lab the store.

The Dr. Freecloud name and concept was solely created and conceived by Ron D Core. Besides being the first store of it’s kind in Orange County, Dr. Freecloud’s has become a household name in the underground dance music scene locally and globally representing all styles of electronic dance music.
Dr. Freecloud’s has accomplished more than just open a record store. The Dr. Freecloud name has become a major force in the underground electronic music scene over the past 15 years. Here are some of accomplishments: promoting & organizing many small to large events, running 2 record labels, managed many world class DJ’s, kick started several DJ’s careers, releasing it’s own clothing and accessory lines, and one of the first record stores to start selling on the world wide web since 1995.

Our music inventory is diverse within this niche industry carrying and representing all the essential music styles within the Electronic Dance Music scene. Basic music genres carried here are Trance, House, Hardcore, Drum N Bass, Techno, Down Tempo & Beats & Scratches. Here’s a list of specialty genres that Dr. Freecloud’s is well known for carrying and most other retail & online stores don’t carry: Broken Beats (Break Core), Speedcore, Gabber, Hard Style, Lounge, Nu Jazz, Experimental (IDM), Acid Techno & original pressings of Oldschool Techno & Classic House.
